WORKSHOPS and SOCIO-CULTURAL ACTIVITIES:
Our workshops are designed to provide students with the opportunity to practice their English skills while participating in a variety of popular West Coast activities.
Vancouver Island offers a great diversity of outdoor recreational activities. Our students will have the opportunity to experience the spirit and culture of British Columbia while enjoying our spectacular natural environment. Activities may include Dragon Boating, hiking, swimming, exploring beaches and cycling.
Students will explore a variety of recreational options such as indoor rock climbing, swimming, volleyball, billiards and self-defense.
Through a variety of fine arts activities the students will be encouraged to explore the process of creative expression. Students will have the opportunity to enhance their English skills while learning the art of Salsa dance, hip hop, and drama related activities.
Socio- Cultural Activities
The students will have the opportunity to learn about the history and culture of the west coast while exploring a variety of popular attractions. Some of the attractions the students will be visiting may include the Royal BC Museum, the Parliament Buildings, China town and Fishermen’s Wharf.
To foster a positive social environment the students will participate in teambuilding exercises, including team challenges and competitions such as “The Amazing Race”. Students and staff produce a Talent Show towards the end of the program.
